March visit to Rexburg

So since I'm new to this blogging thing... we will just jump right into this last week. Knox and I came to Rexburg to visit on Monday the 11th. My little niece was born almost 3 weeks early so it was a surprise visit. She is the cutest little baby, we already love her to pieces. My sister Brittany & her husband Justin are having a blast snuggling their new baby girl.

Such a doll

My mom & I drove down to Blackfoot to visit the new baby on Saturday. It's too hard to stay away for long. She is the sweetest little thing. We went to lunch at Tommy Vaughns in Blackfoot & then just cuddled her all day!

I took the kiddos on a couple walks last week. We had a blast. My little sister Lilee is such a ham. She is constantly saying the funniest things. The first walk was down my moms road. Lilee was just disgusted with all the garbage we saw on the sides of the street. She said we just HAD to go back to the house to grab some garbage bags to pick it all up because the police would be happy if we did. It would have been a great idea if we had some gloves, so maybe next time!

Our second walk was the next day to the nature park. Lil wanted to see the ducks & I thought it'd be funny to see Knox' reaction to them all. We get in the car & on the way there Lil shouts "SHOOT I forgot my swimsuit!!" ..... I asked what she needed it for & her reply was "to swim with the ducks duh" .... Not only would I Never Ever let any child swim there, yuck, but it's March in Rexburg! Snow all over the ground! What is this little girl thinking? Haha

I was right, he thought they were hilarious

I got to see one of my very best friends on Saturday night! Renee & I have been friends for around 6 years & I hadn't seen her in WAY too long! We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, it was so great to catch up.

If you look real close.... It's still Christmas in the Coates home! Haha

We are this awesome

Our poor baby boy got sick a few days ago. We made it 9 months without much more than a runny nose from this kid. I thought he may just be teething at first, I've heard that some cold symptoms can come with that. Then he started running a high fever. So I took him in to the doctor. An ear infection in both ears, a severe cold & on top of that, teething as well. Poor kid!!! I felt so bad for him. Eric was having a real tough time being away while he's been sick. It's so hard as a parent not being able to do much for your sick child! I hate it.

He fell asleep in the doc office

Most of the snow melted during our first week in Rexburg. Then we woke up one day and everything was covered again! Made me miss the snow a little bit. We haven't had snow most the winter in Boise. Missing it only lasted long enough to take a picture then I went right back to being ready for summer. Knox was still sick and I was too afraid to take him out and about, even though he was feeling much better. So we stayed inside with movies and cuddles and napped... And napped some more... And then some more after that

We had a scare with Britt a few days before we came back home. Everything wasn't "fixed" the right way in the delivery room so she had a lot of bleeding going on for the two weeks after and ended up having to get a blood transfusion. It was real scary. I hope I never have to witness my little sister in that much pain again. She had her surgery Friday night and everything went great. The transfusion took a while so it gave me plenty of time to spend helping with little Journee. So thankful to Justin for taking her in when he did or it may have been a lot worse.

He was so worried about her

My friend Trynda came to visit Knox and I while we were in Rexburg. Her and I went to cosmetology school together and have been great friends ever since! We worked together in my aunts salon after hair school and then she moved to Utah. With my little family moving to Boise I hardly get to see her anymore so when she wanted to come visit, we didn't hesitate! (even though poor Eric had already been missing us for a week) Trynda and I went into the Paul Mitchell school hoping to visit our instructors and a couple of our other friends who now work there. I'm really glad we got to visit and catch up!!
